How to Use the Hik-Connect App

 

A simple guide to viewing your CCTV system from your phone 

This guide shows you how to download the Hik‑Connect app, create your account, control your Hikvision AX PRO alarm system, check sensor status, view alarm events, and manage notifications. Your alarm system will be added remotely by WaveTech Southwest — no passwords required.

 

 

Downloading the Hik-Connect App & Creating an Account 

Download the App

iPhone (App Store): Search for Hik-Connect - for End User

Android (Google Play Store): Search for Hik-Connect - for End User 

Make sure you select the official Hikvision app. 

Create Your Account 

  • 1. Open the app and tap Register. 
  • 2. Choose to sign up using your email address or mobile number. 
  • 3. Enter your details and create a secure password. 
  • 4. Enter the verification code sent to you. 
  • 5. Log in using your new Hik-Connect account.

 

Important: Do Not Add a Device Yourself 

  • Once your account is created do not press the "Add Device" button in the app. 
  • WaveTech Southwest links your CCTV system to your account remotely. 
  • Send Us your  username you used to create your Hik-Connect account: email or mobile number. 
  • We will then securely share your CCTV system to your Hik-Connect app. 
  • Your cameras will appear automatically once this is done and you accept the share.
  • You Do Not Need to share your Hik-Connect password with us.

 

 

 

Using Your AX PRO Alarm System

Arming & Disarming:

  • You can control your alarm directly from the Hik‑Connect home screen:
  • Arm – Fully arms the system
  • Stay Arm / Home Arm – Arms perimeter sensors while allowing movement inside
  • Disarm – Turns the system off

 

 

Viewing Alarm Events & History

Go to Events / Logs to see:

  • Alarm triggers
  • Faults or tamper alerts
  • Arming/disarming history
  • System notifications
  • This helps you quickly check what happened and when.

 

 

6. Checking Sensor Status

Open your AX PRO system and view Zones / Devices to see:

  • Battery levels
  • Signal strength
  • Open/closed status
  • Tamper or fault indicators
  • This is useful for checking door contacts, PIRs, and other sensors.

 

 

AX PRO Notifications

 

Turning Notifications On or Off:

 

Go to: More → Notifications

Here you can enable or disable alerts for:

  • Alarm activations
  • Faults
  • System status changes

 

 

Per‑Sensor Notification Control

Each device has its own settings, allowing you to customise which sensors send alerts.

 

 

Do Not Disturb Mode

Set quiet hours in: Notifications → Do Not Disturb

Ideal for night‑time or when you don’t want your phone buzzing
